In order to help you make your decision, prospective parents and carers are welcomed and encouraged to visit the school during session times, due to COVID-19 restrictions this is currently suspended, please see our Virtual Tours . A member of staff is always made available to explain our school layout, areas of work, and methods (if you wish to speak to a member of staff before making your decisions, please contact the school.) We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS), recognising each child as an individual and helping them on the road to independent learning. Active learning is essential - with the support of trained staff to encourage further thinking and discovery.

Summer Born delay places

Summer born delay places are available for children born between April and August. Priority places are given to children already attending the school. Please speak your child's teacher or the Head teacher if you wish to explore this option.

Once you have accepted a nursery place

For families new to the school, with children who have not attended our pre-school, we offer home visits (currently suspended due to COVID-19, replaced by telephone conversations). These visits are an invaluable opportunity for us to get to know each other. The children are often really excited about the teachers coming to their home and this enables us to develop strong and trusting relationships with you and your child as quickly as possible.

Parents are also invited to re-visit the school with their child at one of our "Open Afternoons" in the Summer Term. This is an opportunity for you and your child to experience the Early Years provision and have a real "hands-on" session. At this time you will also collect a "Welcome Pack" which contains useful information about the school. (Dependent on COVID-19 restrictions)

There is another opportunity to visit, with your child, the day before he/she is officially admitted. Other family members are also welcome to join in the visit, eg: Grandparents. During this visit the head teacher will run an induction session for parents and carers. (Dependent on COVID-19 restrictions)

If you have any further queries regarding the admissions process please contact the school on 01992 462820.
